How well do we really know other people? This question Marina Altukhova has been asking herself since childhood. She’s always been curious about the hidden and private thoughts that exist in other people's minds. Are our thoughts, dreams, and experiences similar?
To lift some of that mystery, Marina invited strangers to anonymously share thoughts they had never voiced to anyone before. Now, as viewers look at these vivid faces, they are invited to enter the minds of unknown people and perhaps discover something of themselves within them.
“The faces are not portraits of specific people. Rather, they function as symbols of humanity.” - Marina Altukhova
