Tatiana Fetisova: "Self-control grows out of that earlier story: a balloon-like dog holding its pose, calm and steady, while my own body still wants to flinch at every quiet bark. Where Let’s play painting shows the split between fear and joy, this painting imagines what it would feel like to carry the dog’s composure inside my own skin. Sometimes, I picture myself with that same steady gaze and soft patience, breathing through the fear instead of running from it. It reminds me that, with time, even shaken hearts can learn to feel stable again. And maybe, one day, I won’t flinch at all."
